The
firms origins lie in the passion and experience of Lorenzo Menatti. It
was founded in 1978 as a cottage-industry. It developed and expanded over
the years, becoming the company it is today in 1992. The company is situated in Piantedo, (Sondrio), in Via Furoni 284/A and covers an area of 28,000 square metres. The factory, with an indoor area of 8,500 square metres, is on two floors and composed of units for the various stages of manufacture and production, curing rooms, together with spaces for technical equipment and storerooms for necessary materials. The town, in lower-Valtellina where the valley meets with Valchiavenna, is a short distance from Lake Como. It is situated in a geographical area with a very favorable climate which allows the firm to use traditional curing methods in the production process. |
